Microfinance - the Swedish model

The business model of micro finance provided by Neem and its partner the Microfinance Institute in Sweden AB (MFI) comprises of the following steps:
- Mobilization (Neem
- Business Development (Neem)
- Loans (MFI) / Monitoring (Neem)
- Make Women Bankable!

1. Mobilization
- Outreach
- Networking

Through our outreach, we connect to various groups, which today to a higher extent is excluded from the labor market. Neem provides inspirational information to interested groups during the outreach sessions before the selection process begins. The main criteria in the selection process are willingness and motivation of the individual.

The individual should have a profound desire to change their situation from unemployment to self-sufficiency. Participants should be at least 18 years of age, be resident in Sweden and holder of a Swedish permit or citizenship.

2. Business Development
- Empowerment
- Coaching
- Innovation
- Regulatory Contacts

Based on MFI simplified business planning template, we packages live skills and work experiences into a viable business proposal. An innovative creative process is increasing quality and value of any product. Together we also look at settling regulatory and security issues surrounding your future entrepreneurship.

3. Loans / Follow-up
- Loans
- Follow-up
- Coaching
- Business Development
- Empowerment
- Regulatory Contacts

Prudent debt management with the support and preparation to seek loans, and knowledge of credit management is an important piece of training. Loan application requires that you as a participant completed our coaching program with a pass result.

To ensure sustainability of new companies, coaching program will continue for up to three years. We provide the new entrepreneur with advice and support on product development, new markets, new customers, and strategy for enterprise collaboration, etc.

4. Make Women Bankable
- And then what?
- Stimulate strong network for the individual and the organization
- Mentoring
- Referee
- Ambassador

The goal is reached! After three years, our vision is that you have a viable business and a credit history that allows you to apply for bank loans for your future investment. There are many ideas and support in your wide network. Perhaps you come to value the micro finance model so much that you are willing to be a mentor or ambassador for future participants?
